How to Spray Paint & Install Interior Doors
In case you want to try DIY door spray painting and installation yourself! It’s a great way to update a home – interior doors take up a lot of real estate in a space and can make a huge impact.
Time: 4 Hours Cost: $200 Difficulty: Medium
We found that the best way to paint these doors to give them a professional finish was to use a paint spray like the Wagner Flexio 590. This gives such a nice, smooth finish on the doors that looks simply gorgeous!
We removed the doors off of the jamb and set them up in a ventilated area to spray them before installation. You can watch my video on my blog the bottom of this post to see my mom’s door paint spraying tips.
If you order pre-hung doors like we did, the installation is a lot easier than you might think! All you need are wood shims, a level and a finishing nail gun to install the doors in your home. Check out my video on my blog to see my dad’s tips on how to install an interior door yourself.
The Doors are the perfect addition to Mom’s Lake House, and they make a big impact in the space. You can see them featured so far in the master bedroom and the kitchen.
