I printed out an 8 x 10 picture of the American Flag Stars and with a little patience you need to cut out each individual star. Takes about an hour to this, if you have thick printing paper you can use it over and over again

I added blue painters tape to this so it stays flat on the wood, then using white spray paint apply slowly and evenly, the outcome will impress you, I sort of gave mine a shadow look. You see in an upcoming photo

Lay and tap like I suggested after you spray a 1/2' x 7 1/2" x 9 3/4" piece of plywood

Using Navy Blue is best for the background

I burned my slats using a blow torch (you can purchase in your local store) .Stain every other one with Minwax Sedona Red Stain and after it dries you can flip this over this over making sure you are looking at it the opposite way and get the thinnest shims and glue and nail it together. Sand off any rough edges, and make as square as possible using a framing square if you have one?
