DIY HEART CLAY RING DISH

don’t know about you but I love it when I get a gift which has a lot of thought and effort put into it, like this Clay Heart Dish.
Not only it is a DIY from start to finish but knowing that someone took out the time to make it, is a sure way to put a smile on anyones face.
Even though I created a “broken” heart dish (wanted to get a little creative over here), you can always keep it as one complete heart.

Starting with todays project.
The colors I chose for the clay were red and black.
I rolled out about medium sized clay balls and then flattened them out.

Place a heart template on top which I made from a piece of paper.
Then by using your X-Acto Knife cut out the heart shape.
Remove the template and create a Zig Zag line with the X-Acto knife in the middle to create the broken heart design.

When that is done, place it in the oven and let it bake.
After it is cooled you can go ahead and customize it.
I painted "Love" in the middle.
