Who could resist this tiny little ottoman? It’s really heavy for its size but worth its weight! I paid $4 for it at good will and the lady looked at me as though I’d lost my mind, she said that she was going to throw it away! I told her what I was going to do with it and she still looked at me as if I’d lost my mind! Oh well with a little TLC and cleaning it was ready to be restored.

Well here it is! vinyl covered in its glory time, and very dirty. All I used for this project is three denim pant legs, some embroidery thread, and of course a sewing machine.
I measured the circumference of the ottoman and added an extra inch and a half for seams, it took one and a half pant legs that I pieced together. I then measured the height and added on an extra four inches for the top seam and to fold underneath. The bottom piece of this ottoman looked like it had been sitting in something! so I removed it and cut a new cardboard bottom. Then I traced it on a piece of denim and also added an extra inch to fold under and glue to the cardboard
Embroidery on denim is really in these days so I did the blanket stitch around the top of the ottoman. When I completed my stitching I pulled the finished piece over the ottoman as tightly as I could and glued (with my glue gun) the main part to the bottom of the ottoman, as well as the bottom piece to the cardboard.
All there was left to do was attach the bottom piece. You can use a staple gun but......I received a Brad nailer from Santa this year and was dying to put it to use, it made a clean finish to the bottom. So now my vintage chair that I covered with denim a few years ago has a matching foot stool
