Lay your fabric out and place your plate on top. You will then use your sharpie to trace around the plate. This helps so when you cut your fabric it will fit your plate size perfectly.

Use your scissors to cut along the line that you had traced.

Once you have your fabric cut to size use your mod podge and brush it onto the entire bottom of the plate, then lay your fabric so it will attach to the plate with the use of the mod podge. You need to do another layer of mod podge once that fabric is stuck down on top the fabric to make sure fabric will not fray. Helps to just reinforces it.

I used a heavy object to help hold the two together until it was fully dried.
