Outdated Coffee Table to Rustic Farmhouse Beauty

The Hubs and I began our spring cleaning this past weekend. And whilst dropping off our junk at the local thrift shop I saw this very 90's coffee table. I had been wanting a "new" coffee table for awhile now and I figured at $20 I could work with it.
Once we got the table home I began sanding it. I was then reminded by my daughter that I NEVER get before pictures of my projects. I abruptly stopped what I was doing and snapped a couple. Please, just imagine the table with the glass. I'm sure most of you have seen a coffee table quite similar to this one at some point.
I then finished my sanding. After I sanded down all of the horrible varnish I taped and newspapered the bottom for painting. Spray paint is my favorite go to paint as it is fast. I used a Rustoleum in black satin that I had on hand. Once the paint had dried I sanded some more until I reached my desired rustic look. Afterwards I stained the bottom shelf with Dark walnut stain I also had on hand. I then finished it off with polyurethane in a matte finish.
Now, I have been hording some tin I salvaged from an old barn with nice rust and oxidation showing. Hubby then cut the tin to fit underneath where the glass tops sat. I then screwed the tin to the underside of the top and simply replaced the glass.
I think it turned out beautifully and I just Love it😍
