Unicorn Spit Under the Sea!

We all love Unicorn Spit. It smells like Jasmine, it washes off with water, and it is a paint, a stain, and a glaze. You can make some beautiful special effects with it.
All you need is a tile, some Unicorn Spit, and a piece of glass. Use any color basic tile. I used a white ceramic tile from Lowe's. They only cost a few cents. I used an old glass from a frame. Make sure your glass is a little bigger than your tile.

Press a piece of glass down onto the tile.

Pull the glass off. You have an effect that looks like coral or under water plants. The glass will be tightly suctioned onto the tile and you need to be careful removing it. You could use plexiglass or even another tile, face down on top.

This is done with blue and yellow. You could add some little fish or other decoration. (When painting over Unicorn Spit, seal it first to avoid rubbing it off).

Here's another in only red. Looks kind of like a Christmas decoration!

If you don't like it, just rinse it off with water! If you want to keep it, seal with an oil based surface...polyurethane, or spray enamel. Since Unicorn Spit is water based, it has to be sealed. These make beautiful display tiles or coasters.

Materials used for this project:

  • Unicorn Spit paint   (Three Monkeys Antiques in Blue Ridge, Georgia)
  • A piece of glass   (From any frame.)
  • A white tile   (Lowes...basic white tile.)
