Updating My Front Door For Easter
Easter will be here soon, so my old Easter egg wreath is on the door. I wanted to add something new, so I did a little Easter painting. I'm not an artist by any means, but, a simple sketch, some paint pens and it was fun!
Time: 1 HoursCost: $5Difficulty: Easy
First I sketched out what I wanted in the picture/painting. I wanted several Easter eggs and maybe a chick and a bunny. I figured that I would add the bunny and chick as I worked on it.
I filled in more of the eggs, added some blue for the sky, and green grass. There are some jelly beans at the bottom, by the chick, and a bunny in the right hand corner.
Here is the painting tucked above my wreath on the front door. It is easy to hang the painting with Command picture hanging strips (they are like velcro and the ones I like hold up to sixteen pounds). You could also tuck it under the wreath, like in one of the the following pictures.
Here is the painting on the front door, tucked above the wreath. I plan on doing another one with my granddaughter, this was so simple and fun to do. Although, she makes me color and paint inside the lines! You could trace a design using tracing paper, for a sign, or use stencils also.
Here it is on my other door, tucked behind my wreath. This canvas panel came in a multi pack, and I have seen them for as little as a dollar for one panel. There are paint pens available at the dollar store in blue, yellow, red and green packs, and I also used ones I had purchased on Amazon for more colors. Have fun!
Materials used for this project:
